27 holes, par 72, 6.290 m. Designed by Robert Trent Jones, Jr. Open in 1992
Ranked in the top 30 Courses in Continental Europe and top 10 in Portugal, 2 courses: The 18-hole Atlantic course, designed by Robert Trent Jones Jr., opened in 1992 and staged the Portuguese Open two years later. Every hole is different and exciting, with Jones using the contours to great effect. The course has a superb flow to it and the views throughout are magnificent, especially away from the coastal towns of Cascais and Estoril and to the blue Atlantic ocean.
The Monastery course, also designed by Robert Trent Jones Jr., is the perfect complement to its sister course. The 9-hole course is less undulated than the Atlantic Championship, offering moderated challenges which suit all levels of players. The Monastery golf course is also characterized by fast greens and narrow fairways and benefits from the stunning landscapes of the surrounding National Park.
